The Q series is a new children's series of dummies launched after the P series. The new generation of dummies has better anthropometric, biomechanical, and kinematic characteristics, which can better evaluate the risk of injury to child passengers of different ages and body types. Dummies are suitable for CRS evaluation in both frontal and side impacts, meeting the dual purposes of consumer evaluation and research. Dummies can be equipped with acceleration sensors, force sensors, etc., and some
Structure:
Head--The head is largely made from polyurethane synthetics. The head cavity is large enough to allow use ofseveral instruments, including linear accelerometers and an upper neck load cell (six channels).
Neck--The neck is flexible and allows shear and bending in all directions. The segmented design prevents buckling and allows realistic rotational behavior. The neck is fitted with a flexible stainless steel wire at itscore to prevent failure under high load.
Thorax--The thorax is represented integrally with the torso flesh, made of a PVC skin filled with polyurethane foam. The thoracic spine is made of hard polyurethane. In a cavity at the back, at T4 location, a threeaccelerometer array can be mounted. In the shoulder area a metal bracket provides attachment points forthe arms.
Arms--The arms are integrally made of flexible solid polyurethane with a fixed angle between upper and lowerarm. The shoulder joint allows rotation of the arm about the Y-axis.
Legs --The legs are integrally made of flexible solid polyurethane with a fixed angle between upper and lower leg.The hip joint allows rotation of the arm about the Y-axis.

The Q0 child dummy allows for qualitative evaluation of the protection retained in child restraints and within certain specified spatial ranges. In addition to qualitative aspects, the Q0 dummy can also quantitatively evaluate safety through data obtained from built-in instruments. The measurement ability of the Q0 dummy makes it suitable for accident scenario research. In addition, the Q0 dummy can also be applied to medical research on events such as infant shaking and falling.
This dummy design is applicable to standard EuroNCAP, ECE R129, and GB27887 child restraint assessment testing procedures
The Q-series dummy is a children's series dummy launched after the P-series dummy. Compared to the P series dummy, the biomechanical characteristics of the Q series dummy have been improved, based on the dummy response defined by the biomechanical information response curves of children and scaled down adults. This series of dummies can be equipped with acceleration sensors, angular velocity sensors, force sensors, displacement sensors, etc., to evaluate the damage suffered by the dummy in various situations.
In order to make the child dummy easy to install and disassemble, SF Company has optimized the dummy structure to ensure that the dummy can be quickly disassembled and assembled, and to minimize the impact of sensors on the dummy's motion characteristics, protecting the integrity of sensors and cables inside the dummy.
